Four generations of the Maxine and Dick Elam family, scattered across four states, gathered Sunday to celebrate Easter. You need to Zoom, transmit and receive online, to connect Texas, Mississippi, South Carolina, and the progenitor in Indiana.
The family always ends their get togethers with a song Great Grandfather learned at a training session for Boy Scout adult leaders. Back when there were three daughters, now grandmothers. Before the boy, now a grandfather, arrived. And before Maxine died.
We’re all together again……Who knows when we’ll be all together again, singing All together again, We’re here
If you want to see a record of this gathering, there’s a frame filled with pictures of all in the family. And if you hear all those voices singing “All together again,” listen for the wail of the family dog in Heath, Texas who joins the chorus.
Do not want to hear from any Wag who suggests the Elam family singing ‘has gone to the dog.’
